BEST PICTURE EVER!
i actually feel like a lot of black women take this too seriously. not everyone that asks to touch your hair is trying to be offensive or treat you as some type of zoo animal, some people are just genuinely curious.
But the problem is when I say, “No,” because I don’t know where your nasty hands have been, people get mad like, “Well, why not,” and the reason is, I wouldn’t just ask to touch any body else’s head, so why do you need to touch mine? It’s my hair. You can have all the random fingers in your hair that you want but what? I don’t think I’ve ever just wanted to touch somebody’s hair unless I was 5 years old and like other little kids I played in people’s hair but that was EVERYONE’s hair. Fuck their curiosity. Because they’re curious they have the right to put their hands all over every damn thing? No. It’s annoying and it happens enough to make you wanna punch people in the face. All you have to do is look at it. Keep your hands off of it.
Lol that turned into a rant for NO reason. But really what?
it’s different if they ask, you say no, and then they feel a way about it, because then it would be clear that they do feel they are entitled. in general though, i don’t think simply asking is such a crime. i ask to touch certain people’s hair sometimes myself, out of genuine curiosity because that person’s hair is so different than mine. no one ever gets upset about it.
I’m not like this at all. Don’t really appreciate this picture at all. once again, we’re all thrown into ONE stereotype. -__-
